character sheet formatting
So, I may have decided to be quasi-insane and unproductive and obsessed with KOL today and I coded up my character sheet in a really fancy/pretty table, which you can see here. Why am I posting about it? Well, because, I wanted to post the coding for it in case anyone decided they wanted something similar. So, below the cut is a preview image and the code for the table.
For the skills, in order to make them fit, I had to abridge certain things (craft - writing became c: writing, knowledge - popular culture became k: p culture) because the max character count for the skills category is 19 characters for the skill name including the asterisk that indicates class skills.
Similarly, descriptions for talents and feats must be brief. 23 characters max for feats, 20 for talents, no more than 43 total (though I'm fairly sure if you try it out, you might be able to distribute them differently). So, abbreviate! The smaller version will tolerate 30 characters max for both feats and talents descriptions.
Additionally, I personally chose to omit some stuff that I didn't have ranks in/never used. Because my list was incomplete, I left it open for you to fill in with a guide for formatting.
I'm thinking of adding in a thread-tracking category. If I do, I'll update this code. To generate the smallcaps for the title section, you can go here.
Anyway! Feel free to grab it, plug in your characters' info, etc. Images must be 300x300 to code properly for the 700px table (250x250 for the 500px code). Obviously, if you need help troubleshooting the code or run into bumps along the way, just comment and I'll help you out.
One more thing - if you want a different color scheme or you have a cap but don't have the imaging software necessary to make a picture but want the code, hand it over and I'll hook you up with something 300x300 (or 250x250 obviously).
